About Jodi + Steve Duncan
Jodi was born with a lifelong love of flowers. At 5 years old, she set out to define and beautify spaces. Gathering flowers from the family landscaping & constantly rearranging household furniture filled her young days, much to her mother’s dismay.
By 7 years old, she was frequently found at her neighborhood florist, where she also rearranged and merchandised. At the age of 15 she landed her first job in a flower shop, and by 19, she owned that very shop. Today she maintains a lifestyle and consulting presence with Jodi Duncan Designs. You’ll find her curating interiors, homes, & events for a few favorite clients.
Wildly curious and extremely clever and creative, Jodi is a problem solver with style.
From her design acumen to her public speaking, humor and heart drive the signature style that is all her own.

(SJ for short....also stands for STEVE+JODI because they are clever like that). T

Jodi's 30+ year professional journey has continued to bring recognition at the state, national & international level. She is a dynamic speaker. You can find her motivating companies, team building, designing with flowers, teaching workshops and inspiring others to live beautifully and live well.
Jodi was inducted into the illustrious AIFD in 2008. As a fierce competitor, she won awards with the Illinois State Designer of the Year, NAFA National Designer of the Year, Southern Retail Floral, The Lincoln Cup, and was the Mayesh Design Star for 2013. Again in 2022, she was the best of the best from the past 10 years of Design Stars, capturing the title once again.
Jodi is also a TED talk speaker, and her “FlowerPowered” video can be seen on the TED YouTube channel.

Jodi has presented for audiences in nearly every US stete, as well as Paris, England, Ireland, South America and Canada,
as well as enjoying a role as a past designer for Schaffer Designs of Philadelpia Flower Show fame. Jodi brings style, leadership & laughter to every endeavor.
She has also participated as a guest designer at The White House on multiple occasions..... Yes, THAT White House.
Having international appeal, she was invited by Fusion Flowers magazine to be in their annual Weddings issue, shot on location in Scotland. While in the UK, Jodi was the official press correspondent for Fusion, where she live-tweeted the Royal Wedding of Prince William & Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge. Her article “An American in London”, a design perspective on the wedding, was also published in Fusion Flowers.
While in London, she spent time in freelance design with Neill Strain Floral Couture of Harrod’s fame, as well as practicing her British accent.
And now for Steve, who is more than a side kick.
While he might hate the limelight and prefers backstage & behind the scenes rolls, his talents are deep and vital to this endeavor.
His backround is banking and finance but he also has design finesse.
Make no mistake, he does more than the heavy lifiting. He is a terrific designer who moves with thoughtful precision.

Married for 34 years these Hoosier transplant expats from Illinois are making waves in Indiana and beyond. With 2 beautiful 6 ft daughters, two grands, AND let's not forget the rescue granddog, Winne Rue, who joins the family with an old, giant Goldendoodle named Fergus, who fills their days with fur and enthusiasm.
